At Riverview, Cardiac Stepdown functions as our progressive care unit. Progressive care is for patients who are able to leave critical care (ICU or CCU), but still require a higher level of care and monitoring. Cardiac Stepdown consists of a multidisciplinary team of specialized doctors, specially trained critical care nurses, and other dedicated healthcare professionals providing 24-hour care and monitoring.
